Lunch & Learn Speaker Series to Host Noted Paleontologist

On April 7, the middle school speaker series, Lunch & Learn, will host Dr. Thomas Holtz, a research associate at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History and a principal lecturer in Vertebrate Paleobiology at the Department of Geology at the University of Maryland, College Park. His area of expertise is the origin, evolution, adaptations, and behavior of carnivorous dinosaurs, especially the Tyrannosaurus rex.

In addition to his scientific research, Dr. Holtz has been a consultant on museum exhibits and documentaries around the world. He also wrote the award-winning Dinosaurs: The Most Complete, Up-To-Date Encyclopedia for Dinosaur Lovers of All Ages. The school is excited to welcome Dr. Holtz for the final Lunch & Learn of the school year.
